Are you having difficulty getting pregnant? There is a lot of advice and suggestions that doctors and friends give about how a woman can increase her chances of falling pregnant. However, what can a woman do to increase her chances of falling pregnant beyond just knowing when the best time to do it is? If you are looking for different methods that might help increase your chances of conceiving, then here are a few suggestions that I hope you find useful and help you to fall pregnant.

Apart from the obvious of knowing when your cycle is, try baby making every other day during your cycle. If you baby make every day, this reduces the quality of the sperm and decreases your chances of falling pregnant. Waiting one day between each attempt gives the sperm time to recuperate and will give them the best odds the next time you try. Another tip is to do it as much as possible before and after the day of ovulation. Eggs typically live for only 12 - 24 hours, but sperm can survive up to 32 hours. This means that sex up to 3 days before ovulation can still result in your falling pregnant.

You may also want to consider drinking grapefruit or blood orange. Drinking either of these two will help you produce more egg white cervical mucus. Folic acid is also great for prevention of neural tube defects and you may want to consider taking some of this. Your man can also take some folic acid or zinc, as this will greatly increase the quality of his sperm and improve your chances of falling pregnant.

Some things to avoid for any woman who wants to fall pregnant are smoking, taking drugs and getting up after sex. Smoking and taking illegal drugs should be an obvious thing to avoid. One that isn't so obvious is that of getting up quickly after you have just done it. It is recommended that you lay down for at least 10 minutes afterwards to help give the sperm the maximum chance of getting to the right place. Getting up too quickly just makes the job harder for them, meaning less chance you'll fall pregnant.

Just remember that what works for one person may not work for you. Be sure to try all of the tips above before you make up your mind if you think it will work or not. Falling pregnant should not be difficult and the best thing any woman can do is try different alternative methods with the hope that it works for her.
